St Therese’s is located on Endeavour Drive and a high secure fence surrounds the school, providing a safe sanctuary for the children within. There are three adventure playgrounds and an undercover sandpit that children enjoy all year round. There are multiple hard courts and a gymnasium that is used for sport lessons as well as after school community run sports such as karate and basketball. The students enjoy plenty of grassed spaces. There is a footy oval, a soccer oval and other grassy areas for students to play on.
There is currently an enrolment of 290 students. The school is structured into two streams of classes from Foundation to Year Four and three Senior classes made up of Year Five and Six children. The number of students in each class is kept as low as possible with classes in Foundation to Year Four having a maximum of 25 students.
Each class has access to contemporary digital learning tools including iPads, Chromebook devices and desktop computers, with the senior students having a school provided chromebook laptop to use for educational purposes. Each student has their own gmail account and teachers use digital technologies to enhance learning and teaching.
Students enjoy the canteen facilities on Mondays and Wednesdays. The school has a fully functioning kitchen that provides hot and cold lunches. Parents can pay via an online payment option. Throughout the year, the canteen provides themed lunches for those students who are interested, for example hot dogs on Footy Day.
The school has an excellent gymnasium facility that is used for sport lessons. Within this space, is a stage area that is used during Assemblies, Whole School Masses and other community events such as our Japanese Drumming presentations and Christmas Carols concert.
