Our History

Cranbourne North is located on the boundary of the Archdiocese of Melbourne where it adjoins the parish of Hampton Park. In the Diocese of Sale it abuts the very large and rapidly developing parishes of Narre Warren and Berwick. Despite being in the City of Casey and within the Western Growth corridor of Melbourne, Cranbourne has retained much of it’s country town outlook and has not yet embraced the housing development explosion of neighbouring areas – although this is expected to occur in the near future. St Therese’s is situated within the well-established residential area of Cranbourne North.

St Therese’s School is part of the St Agatha’s Parish Cranbourne and belongs in the Diocese of Sale. St Therese’s is the second school of the parish and has been established since 1988. Fr. McGiugan appointed Sr. Kerry Thomas (a Sister of Mercy) as the founding Principal and the school has had lay principals since then.
